MYHEAT Pre-Wired Carbon Film Underfloor Heating Element
MYHEAT electric underfloor heating film is the easy way to install comfortable floor heating that lasts for decades, requires no maintenance and provides significantly lower running costs than alternative heating systems.
Providing greater comfort than any other heating system, MYHEAT film is the most efficient means of heat delivery in existence. It is a low temperature system which emits radiant heat energy (like that from the sun) to provide unrivalled comfort. Allergy suffers will benefit from the near absence of air circulation, dust and dryness associated with traditional heating systems.

Installed as part of a refurbishment or new-build project, MYHEAT electric underfloor heating film can be mounted on top of concrete or timber subfloors or built into floors so that you can apply any floor finish that you wish. It is ideal for installation where the intended floor finish will be a floating hardwood, wood, laminate or wooden parquet floor. It is also equally suitable for carpets, vinyl and lino when used with our overlay board system.
MYHEAT heating elements rated 130W/m² or 160W/m² are a very versatile underfloor heating system.
If you are installing MYHEAT heating elements on top of any wood or solid concrete sub-floor, you must install a layer of 6mm thick MYHEAT thermal insulation first to minimise downward heat losses and prevent damage to the MYHEAT heating elements. Thermal insulation also helps to 'quieten' the subsequent floor surface. The insulation can be cut to accommodate the interconnection wiring and floor sensor.
Once the MYHEAT electric underfloor heating elements have been laid and the connections made, the whole floor should be covered with a layer of polyester vapour barrier - available from MYHEAT.
Where the edges of the polyester sheeting meet they should be overlapped by 200mm to prevent water coming into contact with the heating elements if there should ever be any spillages on the floor.

Once the electric underfloor heating film is installed it must be covered with a vapour barrier. This will stop any fluid spilled on the floor coming into contact with the element.
